Education & Capacity Building
Teens Up encourages teenagers to work towards their full potential and career dreams. Keeping teenagers in school is one way of supporting them to delay pregnancy and early marriages, and helping them realize their dreams. Family and community members are also encouraged to appreciate the value of education and work towards both teenagers becoming educated and empowered. Teens Up also anchors heavily on building the capacity of girls, boys, families and school staff. Teens Up uses the strengths and opportunities available in a community to address weaknesses so as to enhance, promote, and sustain good practices all of which are initiated and driven by the community members. Examples of community strengths and opportunities are individual skills and abilities, positive attitudes and norms, commitment, resources, and supportive structures and systems. teenagers effectively becoming Agents of Change in their homes and communities is also is part of the Teens Up ACT Model and Theory of Change

a) Education and Academic Triumph
teenagers are inspired to keep in school to completion, make early career choice decisions, focus and work hard to attain their dream careers, and triumph academically. Teens Up inspires teenagers to keep the highest level of discipline as this is usually associated with good academic and co-curricular performamce.
b) Agents of Change
Empowering girls, boys, families and members of schools and home communities as agents of change who champion, protect and standup for the well-being and success of the girl child is pivotal to the initiatives of Teens Up. Agents of Change tear down any barriers which prevent teenagers to reach their full potential and career dreams.
c) Community Capacity
Teens Up trains and works hand in hand with school staff, school alumni, and school community members as Trainers of Trainees (ToTs) to build their capacity for skills transfer and empowerment of girls as guided by its pillars. Due to boosted capacity, ToTs spread the initiative out to their families and communities hence enhancing community economic improvement and well-being. ToTs are also encouraged to learn new skills and bring them on board.
